She Would Win in the End
Until I find a way,
He gives it to her.
I laugh at him behind his back,
Sit back and let the evening go
‘Cause, though he may want her too,
I cannot hear.
Won’t you come out to play?
Can I bring my friend to tea?
We can show you a better time –
Everyone you see if half asleep.
So, now that you know who you are
And you hope that your dreams will come true,
Just call on me.
You can do that
When no-one else comes near.
It was a love that had no past
Then I finally heard.
I don’t know why I
Thought she was a woman.
She’s as happy as can be,
Creeping like a nun,
Hiding her head in the sand.
She would win in the end
And I think it’s today.
